About the Church | Our Minister
Our Minister In Charge
Our minister in charge is Pastor P.J. Samuel, who first came to Kuwait in 1963. He hails from the Puthiyaveetil family and was born and brought up in an Marthomite family at Edayaranmula, Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour when he was a child and was involved in church activities.
After his education, he went to Dubai in 1961. There he attended a Bible class led by a missionary from Ireland named Rev. Harry Young who came to Dubai as a pioneer evangelist in 1961 when there was no one else to proclaim the good news. P. J. Samuel then received water baptism at the hand of Rev.Harry Young in 1961.
Later he came to Kuwait in 1963 and was involved in activities of the Kuwait Town Malayalee Christian Congregation (KTMCC). In 1974 a revival prayer group started in Kuwait and he was filled with the Holy Spirit and became one of the leaders. Since 1974 many servants of God came to Kuwait and taught the bible in the Prayer group. The Holy Spirit led him and many other members to obey the Word of God and accept the Pentecostal interpretation of the Bible to worship the Lord in truth and spirit. The Bible classes of Evangelist V. T. Abraham, Pastor M. Abraham, Late Pastor P.D. Johnson and so many other pastors who came to Kuwait convinced him along with other members to obey the Word of God and as a result they separated from their congregation of worship at the time and the Full Gospel Church was birthed. Pastor P. J. Samuel was later ordained as Pastor in 2000 by Pastor T. S. Abraham, president of the Indian Pentecostal Church of God in India.
He is married and has four children. His wife Mary Samuel hails from the Chittanikal family in Cherukole, Kozhencherry. Their first son, L.J. Samuel is married and settled in Oklahoma state, USA.
